Infamous Subculture Dining comes to Lafitte August 22

New “Grounded Series” brings the underground dining experience to guests and kicks off with a special corn-and-tomatoes menu paired with cocktails by Clear Creek Distillery.
Interior, Lafitte
Starting Sunday, August 22, Chef Russell Jackson brings the style of underground dining he made popular in San Francisco to Lafitte with his new “Grounded Series.” In tribute to Jackson’s radical underground SubCulture Dining (SCD) supper club that paved the way for the opening of Lafitte, the Grounded dinners will be offered one Sunday of every month and include themed dinners, farmer, spirits and winery partnerships as well as the occasional guest chef appearances.

The Grounded Series kicks off Sunday, August 22 with a tomato-and- corn-themed experience highlighting the bounty of the season and featuring guest distiller/owner Steve McCarthy of Clear Creek Distillery. Guests will enjoy a multi-course dinner with each course paired with cocktails featuring Clear Creek Distillery spirits. Based in Oregon, Steve McCarthy founded Clear Creek Distillery 24-years ago to find the best use for fruit from the McCarthy family orchard. Today, Clear Creek Distillery is an award-winning producer of fruit eaux de vie, grappas, and wine brandy.
